Plastic surgeon Dr. Talal Munasifi recommends Juvéderm Vollure XC, a hyaluronic acid-based dermal filler that is able to fill in deep wrinkles in the face and add volume to your skin. We will perform the Vollure injections on-site at our office, sometimes on the same day as your consultation. One of our team members will first cleanse the skin and injection sites before inserting the needle in the needed areas, typically around the nose and mouth. Since it is delivered through a fine gauge needle, the treatment should not produce much pain, but if the discomfort is a concern, then we can offer a numbing agent to apply beforehand. Multiple Vollure injections may be needed and delivered simultaneously depending on your case and desired outcome. This procedure typically only lasts around 15 – 30 minutes, and you are able to return home right after your treatment.
What to Expect
It is normal to experience some minor redness, swelling, or bruising after your injection, but this should subside within a couple of days. There is no downtime associated with Vollure injections, and you are free to return to your normal activities as soon as your procedure is finished. While you may see some visible improvement right away, it may take up to two weeks or more to see your final outcome. Vollure is a long-lasting injectable that is known to produce anti-aging benefits and smoother skin for up to 18 months in some cases. You can discuss with Dr. Munasifi or one of our team members about when you should schedule a follow-up appointment and how best to maximize your results for the most ideal outcome.
