About High Definition (HD) Liposuction
High definition liposuction refers to advanced techniques in liposuction to sculpt the body and enhance the natural muscular of the trunk and extremities. This technique is commonly performed using VASER liposuction to optimize fat removal and skin tightening. Most of Dr. Economides’ patients request HD Lipo of the abdomen (i.e., abdominal etching) where fat is selectively suctioned to enhance the appearance of the rectus abdominis (six pack) muscles and obliques. This technique may also be performed in conjunction with fat transfer/fat grafting which involves grafting the removed fat into muscle groups such as the deltoids, pectoralis (chest) muscles, or abdominal muscles to enhance the shape and volume. Other treatment areas where HD lipo may be performed are the upper arms, calves, male chest, and lower back/flanks.
What To Expect
